I’m Doing a Thing….

I’ve recently filed an LLC through the State of Ohio, and so I am now officially a small business owner. Hooray! 🎉So welcome to my new business:

Word & Numbers LLC

This may especially interest you if you are a Christian parent, grandparent, godparent, aunt/uncle, etc. who loves the “littles” in your life. Additionally, if you are a math teacher looking for creative ideas to use in the classroom, this is an opportunity for you to get more resources.

Why you ask?

I want to make an impact and help people. Therefore, I plan to publish children’s books and other educational content, and I need an LLC to start the process.

I’ve discussed some of my motivations in my blog post: What is Your Beautiful Question? |Reflections on A More Beautiful Question by Warren Berger—Part 5 (This post is a must-read if you want to explore your own beautiful, motivating questions.)

As you can see this lines up with my current beautiful questions:

  • How can I write something that will help children like my son grow in their faith?
  • How can I write something that can equip teachers to teach their students?

What ideas are currently in the works?

I’ve written a nighttime prayer book aimed at young boys, and I’m working on a book about quadrilaterals. 😊

Where am I in the process?

  1. I’ve opened a business bank account, so now things are real! Yikes!
  2. I’m super excited about my prayer book! I think it will be a great resource for parents to assist with bedtime routine. It will definitely keep young boys engaged! My little guy already has all the prayers memorized, and he even made up a song to go with it. 😂 I’ve sent the manuscript off to an official editor. Additionally, I have a potential illustrator and publisher lined up (unless I decided to self-publish.)
  3. The first draft of my quadrilateral book is gaining momentum, so I will need to send it out for feedback and get it copyrighted. Then after some revisions I can start pitching it to publishers.

I’m hoping to get a new logo this month! Keep an eye out for changes to my Word & Numbers website!

Be my cheerleader! I’m excited, but it’s also a little scary to put yourself out there! Prayers are most welcome as well! 😀🙏

If you are a logo designer, let me know ASAP as I’m hoping to make a decision about a Logo in the next week or so. I may also be sending out samples to have people vote on my logo. If you are an illustrator, contact me in the next few weeks because once I get my manuscript back from the editor, I want to get moving.

But most importantly join my email list by subscribing to my blog! Also, share my blog on social media when you can!
