Our Nightly Struggle
Like you, we want to raise our child in the Christian faith. We try to teach him how to pray etc. However, our nightly bedtime routine was a struggle. We tried using a nightly prayer book with my son that has pictures of cuddly animals and cute little kids, but he was not in the least interested! He was only interested in the cross-promotional train on the back cover. 😂I scoured the internet to find something that would appeal to a young boy, but I was coming up blank. Therefore, I decided to write my own prayer book. My son, like many boys, is a truck obsessed guy! Ladder Learns to Pray and Other Bedtime Prayers is a prayer book featuring trucks for children between the ages of 18 months and 7 years old. We use our version of Ladder Learns to Pray with my son almost every night, and he loves it! He has committed the prayers to memory and even has made up songs about them. Occasionally he even recites the prayers during the day. Any time you can get a young kid to sincerely pray is a success!
