About
“I wish there was a class to teach Sunday School topics to adults,” a friend said to me who was new to the Christian faith, so with that I created a discipleship program to teach New Testament theology through Old Testament stories. What started out as notes on a napkin has since evolved into a sophisticated but easy to use discipleship program for women. Here are some unique features of my Connecting Old Testament Stories to New Testament Theology Discipleship Program:
- Written in an Inquiry-based Q&A format.
- The discipler asks questions, listens and occasionally clarifies. This causes the disciple to take ownership of the learning.
- The Q&A format makes it easy for the discipler because they don’t have to “know” all the correct answers.
- Aligned to the Lutheran and Westminster catechisms because one of my women wanted to know the difference between the two denominations.
- Has an optional homework option as one woman was very zealous and requested that I create a homework/memorization aspect to the course. The homework is complementary to the study and is not necessary for understanding the content, but it takes a much deeper dive than the main content.
