The Feasts
There are 7 feasts listed in Leviticus 23:
- Passover
- Feast of Unleavened Bread
- Feast of First Fruits
- Pentecost
- Feast of Trumpets
- Day of Atonement
- Feast of Tabernacles
Every year on these feast days, the Jewish people read a certain portion of Scripture. Most of the Feasts are paired with the Jewish Writings called the Megillot (in addition to the Feast of Purim), so I paired up the feasts with the corresponding Megillot, which I think adds insight to the feasts and shows how they point to Jesus.

- Lamentations (9th of Av)
- Ecclesiastes (Feast of Tabernacles)
- Esther (Purim)
Passover
Before doing the study, I would recommend watching Zola Levitt’s Feast of Passover to help you visualize the Passover. Zola Levitt was a messianic Jew. I stumbled across his video one day when trying to teach my high school sophomores about communion, and it forever changed my understanding of communion and greatly impacted my understanding of God’s sovereignty.
Beneath the embedded videos are links to my Passover study in both Microsoft Word and PDF formats.
